“Christ has no body now on earth but yours; no hands but yours; no feet but yours. Yours are the eyes through which the compassion of Christ must look out on the world. Yours are the feet with which He is to go about doing good. Yours are the hands with which He is to bless His people.”

— Saint Teresa of Avila

Merry Oaks Elementary Volunteers

Through our partnership with Merry Oaks International Academy, our neighborhood school with overwhelming challenges,
Holy Trinity members volunteer in a variety of ways. They tutor, mentor students, assist teachers, chaperone on field trips, put up bulletin boards, proctor exams, read books to children,  distribute food, etc. We’re always looking for new folks to help out.

Choir

Our choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00. No auditions are necessary; all who enjoy singing are welcome to join in. On Sunday mornings choir members sit throughout the nave with their friends and families, supporting congregational singing. Then, they come forward to sing an anthem during the time of the offering. The choir takes the summer months off.

Young at Heart

Every Thursday at noon, friends of all ages gather together for a lunch prepared by one of our members.

The lunch is $3. The fellowship is priceless.

Beer and Hymns

Quarterly, we take over a neighborhood watering hole and
sing our best loved hymns together.
No sermon, no liturgy… just a lot of fun!

Worship Ministry

Would you like to serve as an usher? Perhaps you’d like to read the Bible lessons or serve communion. Preparing the altar is always rewarding. There are many ways to become involved in leadership. Let us know how you’d like to serve.

Walk with Us

Members of Holy Trinity frequently use their feet to walk with the poor and marginalized of our community.
You can walk with us for the CROP Walk to feed hungry people,
or in the PRIDE Parade to show love for the LGBTQ community, or join us
for a trip to a Moral Monday in Raleigh
as we walk beside those who are seeking justice for all North Carolinians.

Nursery Volunteers

Every Sunday during worship our nursery is staffed with a professional child care worker and one of our members serving as a volunteer. This is a great way to become acquainted with the youngest members of our Holy Trinity family. In order to serve in the nursery you’ll need to complete a simple background check. Let us know of your interest and we’ll get you started.

Health Ministry

We have an active team of people who educate the congregation about health issues through printed material, temple talks and speakers. If you have an interest in helping other become healthy, consider joining them.

Women of the ELCA

Our women’s group meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm.
All women of the congregation are invited to be a part of this group that gathers for
Bible study and serves Holy Trinity, our conference, synod and
ELCA in a variety of ways.

Our Church Ministry Teams

On the third Sunday of every month, immediately following worship, our ministry teams meet to plan the work of the church.
If you’re not a part of one, come and sit in on a meeting. All groups are open to new ideas and new members.
