Visitors
Welcome to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church!
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church is an inclusive, affirming church, and we hope you will feel comfortable worshiping with us. You will be accepted as you are, the way God made you, who God has called you to be.
Worshipping at HTLC
You will find it easy to participate in worship using the bulletin we provide. Music not printed in the bulletin will be found in the hymnals in front of you in the pew. We worship in a blended style, which follows the Lutheran liturgical pattern, but includes a variety of musical styles. At HTLC, all people are invited and welcome to join us at the Lord’s Table of grace, no matter your religious background.
Offerings are not expected of our guests; if you choose to make an offering, please do so freely and not because you feel obligated. There is an offering plate just inside the worship space, to your right near the baptismal font. You may also contribute online. We do not “pass the plate” during worship.
You will not be put on the spot or singled out. We will invite you to share your name and contact information, but we will not pressure you to do so. We might drop you a note, but no one will be showing up on your doorstep, unannounced.
What to Wear
Be yourself; wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. You will find people wearing jeans, shorts, t-shirts, football jerseys, dresses, suits and ties. Most people dress more on the casual side.
Children
Your children will be valued as an important part of our faith community. Children’s voices are part of the sound of God’s people at worship. They will be invited to come forward for the children’s message. If you choose, you may have children age 5 or younger spend time in the nursery with our professional, background-checked childcare worker and nursery volunteers.
Parking at HTLC
We are located at 1900 The Plaza, Charlotte, NC 28205(Google Maps) You can park in one of our two parking lots. The smaller lot, to the right of the entrance, has an accessible ramp and entrance. The red main entrance doors facing The Plaza have a few steps. If the parking lots are full, on-street parking is available.
How You Can Join Us
After you’ve spent some time with us, if you would like to join us in our mission, please speak with the pastor. If you come to us from another Lutheran congregation, we will transfer your membership. If you have not previously been a Lutheran, Lutheran 101 classes and orientations are offered two or three times a year as the need arises.
