Worship at Holy Trinity

Worship at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church represents the harmonious coming together of traditional and contemporary elements, serving as a vibrant celebration of our faith. In this inclusive and dynamic worship experience, our congregation finds unity through a beautiful melding of traditional hymns and modern worship songs. Our worship also incorporates various liturgical* elements and meaningful rituals, fostering a sense of continuity with our rich Lutheran heritage. Through this intentional blending, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church embraces the diversity of our congregation and engages all generations in worshiping our gracious God.

We celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion every Sunday, acknowledging that the communion table belongs to Jesus. He made no exceptions and so neither do we: all are welcome to receive the sacrament.

*What’s liturgical? Liturgy means “the work of the people,” which means we participate in worship; we don’t just watch. Liturgy is a pattern of worship, which means we do pretty much the same things each week. Musically things change, but the pattern is most always Gather, (hear the) Word, (share the) Meal, Send. Having liturgical elements means we also celebrate seasons and special days of the church year. One way we do this is by changing the colors of paraments (cloth that adorns the altar, lectern, and pulpit) and the pastor’s and deacon’s stoles. Repeating the pattern helps us in our participation.
